Christmas in The Old South - Our Tree

Seasons greetings!  I hope you are all having a wonderful holiday season thus far.  I thought I'd share some of my decor with you.  You can click each photo to see it larger.  This post is included in BNOTP's Met Monday and The Hooked On Houses Holiday Decor Party.

For the front parlor, I wanted to go with deep tones of gold and deep crimson red.  The red looks brighter in these photos than it is in person.  The tree is 12 feet tall.

First, I'll share my favorite photo with you.  Someone managed to sneak into frame lol.

The red flowers are hydrangeas, the flower of the Old South.

And here is a shot during the day.

I also put up a smaller tree (6.5 ft tall) in the dining room.

For the Dining Room tree, I went with the colors white and platinum.  I wanted to incorporate some old fashioned flare, so I hung some pieces from my antique cameo collection as ornaments.

I'll work on sizing some other photos I took. In the meantime, please comment and let me know what color scheme you did on your Christmas tree this year.

The top part of these crystal candle holders where the crystals are hanging from is actually a piece from one of the old chandeliers in the house.  The piece is rounded so it sit perfectly right on top, and the candles fit perfectly through the hole in the middle.

    Thanks for stopping by!

I did peacock color scheme. Like greens and blues. Then I did a green zebra print ribbon around the tree. I also used the same ribbon for the bow on top!!

Very beautiful indeed. Love your decorating style. I am developing my Christmas post. I have six trees (three in kids' rooms so they may not make the post), but a 12' in the foyer done in crystal, glass and shimmering ornaments, one in my dining room which I just repainted a gray/silver and the tree and decorations are a deep purple, and a traditional tree in the family room with heirloom, collected, and handmade ornaments.

Oh, wow, your house is stunning and so is your Christmas decor. My favorite photo is the one with the cat--too cute!

I've been having fun looking through your older posts today. Your "dining room of doom" at Halloween was pretty fabulous! :)

You've made your historic home not only beautiful but very cozy and welcoming, as well. If I had the means, this is how I would decorate for the holidays. Well done!

Great Job! Beautiful home. There is very little in life that excites me as much as "good ole southern architecture"! Thanks for sharing.

I`d like to know why there is a picture of the Orton Plantation in North Carolina at the top which appears on the Homepage. Surely you are not claiming the interior pictures to be of the Orton Plantation which is owned by Louis Bacon and his Wife Gabrielle.

Other than that, good stuff! I own a Historic Antebellum House in NC and was wondering if you are located in NC.

    Thanks,

    Adam A.

Thanks, Adam. I am not claiming the banner photo to be my own, it's a royalty free image. It's the closest picture I could find to what my home looks like, as I didn't want to post my own for safety purposes. I'm planning to change the banner image every season or so, with other kinds of houses. Thanks for stopping by!

Whoever has heard of Patek Philippe and his marvelous collection of Replica Rolex Seadweller for both men and women knows that his timepieces have always charmed the lovers of the horology art. Rolex Milgauss replica have become very popular in the UK. This is because nearly everyone needs a watch in their day-to-day lives.
